A lot of us are willing to spend hundreds of dollars just to have a beautiful skin. We even go an extra mile in getting the best skin care treatments so that we can look good like the celebrities. But don’t you know it would be wiser to do the basic skin care regimens without spending? I bet you prefer this as this is more economical and has a longer effect.

Basic skin care regimens that you can do:

Drinking eight glasses of water

The best way to keep your skin nourished is to drink water. This is because or body is made of 70% of water. If we get dehydrated, chances are, our skin gets dry too and we get dandruff as well. Water helps in flushing out toxins from our body, keeping it healthier and free from diseases. Having enough water in body also helps in perspiration, an important way of eliminating toxins from our body.

Taking a bath everyday

The best way to have a great skin is by taking a bath every day. Not only will you remove the dead skin cells of your body, you will smell good as well. However, you must use bathing products that are mild and safe for your skin to do away with skin reactions and allergies.

Proper skin cleansing

If you use make-up or you are exposed to smog, dust or any other pollution, it is best that you cleanse your face before sleeping. Use lukewarm water and mild cleanser to unclog the pores that may build up the formation of blackheads, whiteheads and other forms of acne and skin allergies. Also, avoid touching your face since your hand has a lot of bacteria that may cause infections.


Always moisturize skin to keep it supple and healthy. You can use natural moisturizers such as avocado, honey and cucumber.

Avoid being exposed under the direct sunlight

Sun exposure is one the factors that may cause premature ageing. If you do not get dry skin and wrinkles, always use an umbrella. If you are going to the beach, you need to apply sun block lotion with at least SPF20 formula.

Proper sleep

Getting enough sleep means giving time to your body to renew and heal itself. It also means that you get to avoid stress.

Now who said that you need to spend a lot just to have a beautiful skin?
